You'll love the different twist on ingredients from the normal apple dumpling. Because Zaar won't recognize 7-Up soda as an ingredient I've added it here. Use 6 oz.'s. Also, the amount of honey used can be adjusted depending on consistency. This can be made WW friendly by using Reduced Fat Crescent Rolls, Splenda white and brown sugars, Imperial light margarine, and diet soda.
Ingredients:
8 ounces crescent roll dough
1 large apple, peeled, cored and cut into 8 slices
1/8 cup honey
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup pumpkin
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Unroll crescent rolls. Do not separate.
3. In a small bowl, combine honey, peanut butter, and pumpkin.
4. Heat in microwave for 30 second intervals until it reaches a smooth spreading consistency.
5. Spread across crescent roll dough.
6. Being very careful, separate dough at performations.
7. Roll each crescent roll around apple slices.
8. Place into a 9x9 inch greased baking pan.
9. Sprinkle brown sugar over wrapped apples.
10. In a medium bowl, combine white sugar, melted butter, cinnamon and soda.
11. Pour over apples.
12. Bake for 35 minutes or until golden brown.
