Millys Mexican Red Rice

There are many ways to make mexican rice. But I'll share how I was taught to make it. It's great with every mexican dish like tacos, burritos, etc. enjoy!
Ingredients:
1 cups of white rice or brown
2 cups of hot water
couple of slices onion
2 tbs of oil (any will do)
1 tbs of salt
3 tbs of pepper, garlic powder,and onion powder
1 can of tomato sauce
1 half of chicken bouillon cube or 2 tbs of chicken bouillon powder
Directions:
1. Preheat pot on a medium high flame, drizzle oil on bottom of pot
2. once oil is hot, add rice and sliced onion. sauté rice and onion until both are brown.
3. carefully add hot water, tomato sauce, and all seasonings. stir well
4. bring to a boil and then put flame to a low and cover and cook until all the liquid is gone and the rice is firm.
5. let it stand for 15 mins and enjoy!
