I got this yummy one from my daughter in law. She said she found it in a magazine. It is so good.
Ingredients:
5 milky way bars (regular candy bar size)
1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
4 eggs, separated
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/4 cups buttermilk
1 cup pecans, chopped
1 pt. whipping cream
1 tbs sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 jar of mrs. richards caramel sauce warmed
Directions:
1. Grease and flour an angel food cake pan or a bundt pan.
2. Preheat oven to 325F degrees.
3. In a small pot over low heat, melt candy bars with 1/2 c of butter.
4. Cream sugar with remaining 1/2 c of butter until light.
5. Add candy and blend well.
6. Add egg yolks, one at a time, mixing well after each.
7. Dissolve baking soda in buttermilk and add alternately with flour to candy mixture, ending with flour.
8. Beat egg whites to stiff peaks and fold into candy mixture with chopped pecans.
9. Bake for 1 hour, 10 minutes.
10. Cool on a rack.
11. Serve with whipped cream, a drizzle of warm caramel sauce and a sprinkling of chopped pecans.
12. This is so good and it looks pretty too.
