Prep Time: 10 Minutes
Cook Time: 45 Minutes
Ready In: 55 Minutes
Servings: 6
Ingredients:
1 stick(s) butter
1 cup(s) sugar
1 cup(s) self-rising flour
1 cup(s) milk
1 pint(s) raspberries
1 pint(s) blueberries
vanilla ice cream
Directions:
1. Place an unwrapped stick of butter in a 9X13 casserole dish. Place the dish, with butter, in the oven while it preheats to 350.
2. While the oven heats and the butter melts, in a medium bowl combine milk, sugar, and self-rising flour. Rinse the berries and set aside.
3. When the butter is melted, remove the dish from the oven and pour the milk mixture over the butter. Do not mix or stir! The butter forms the crust around the milk mixture.
4. Drop the berries by the handful over top of the milk mixture, distributing the berries equally around the casserole dish.
5. Bake for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
6. Serve hot with vanilla ice cream.
