Michigan Maple Pecan Squares

Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups flour
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/3 cup sugar
2/3 cup sugar
2 tablespoons flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup pure maple syrup (from michigan)
2 eggs, beaten well
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 cup pecans, chopped
Directions:
1. preheat oven to 375.
2. combine sugar and flour in a large bowl and cut in butter until it coarse crumbs form.
3. press crust into an 8x8 or 9x9 greased pan and bake 15 minutes.
4. topping:.
5. turn oven to 350.
6. combine dry ingredients (except pecans) in a large bowl.
7. in a separate bowl blend wet ingredients and add to dry ingredients.
8. fold in pecans.
9. pour over crust and bake 25 minutes.
