Picked up this recipe while at a party during vacation. One can add beans, but the person makes this yummy dip without any and serves with nachoes, cracxkers etc
Ingredients:
2 pkg, 8 oz cream cheese, softened
2 lbs ground beef
one jar salsa ( med, hot, chunky, etc what you prefer )
shredded cheddar cheese as you like
Directions:
1. Sotfen cream cheese at room temp and spread evenly on a 1/2 sheet pan or any large disposable aluminum pan
2. Set aside
3. Meanwhile brown beef and drain fat and cool
4. Stir in salsa into the beef to taste
5. Spread cooled beef mixture evenly over the cream cheese layer.
6. Then liberally sprinkle on the cheese
7. Bake 350F until cheese is melted ,
8. Use nachoes or chips to scoop dip right out of the pan!
