Mexican Cornbread

Received from a friend of my mom's. Goes great with almost any Mexican dish.
Ingredients:
2 eggs
1 cup cornmeal (i use hodgson mill yellow)
1 cup sour cream
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup cooking oil
1 cup chopped green bell pepper
1 large onion, chopped
1 1/2 cups grated cheese
1 (15 ounce) can cream-style corn
1 jalapeno, seeded, and chopped
1/4-1/2 cup bacon bits
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients and bake in heavy greased iron skillet.
2. Bake at 275 degrees.
