Mexican Beans and Rice

This is from a Chatelaine recipe book.
Ingredients:
1 onion, chopped
1 red pepper, chopped
1 teaspoon olive oil
1 garlic clove, minced
19 ounces kidney beans, undrained
1/4 teaspoon oregano
1/4 teaspoon chili powder
4 cups brown rice, cooked
Directions:
1. Chop onion and red pepper.
2. Saute in olive oil with garlic clove for 3min.
3. Add in kidney beans, oregano and chili powder.
4. Stir gently until hot and water is absorbed.
5. Serve over brown rice.
