Melty Cheese* Sauce (Vegan)

A very creamy cheese replacement. Given to my family by family friends who have a milk and egg intolerant family member.
Ingredients:
1/4 cup raw cashews
4 ounces pimientos
3 tablespoons nutritional yeast flakes
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 cups water
Directions:
1. Add all the ingredients except the water to your blender or food processor. add enough water to just cover. blend until smooth. add the rest of the water and blend until thoroughly combined. stirring constantly simmer in saucepan until thickened. use over macaroni, pizza, lasagna, veggies, etc. you can also add agar to make it slice-able. it also mixes well with ketchup and barbecue sauce for a wonderful veggie burger topping or tater-tot dip.
