Melt-in-your-mouth Short Ribs

You can throw this together in the morning, (or the night before!) and supper's ready when you are!
Ingredients:
3 lb. beef short ribs
2 tbsp. packed brown sugar
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp. dried thyme leaves, crushed
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 can (10 1/2 oz.) campbell's condensed french onion soup
1 bottle (12 fl. oz.) dark ale or beer
Directions:
1. Place beef, brown sugar, garlic and thyme in 3 1/2- to 6-qt. crock pot/slow cooker.
2. Sprinkle with flour and toss to coat.
3. MIX soup and ale and pour over beef.
4. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hr.* or until beef is fork-tender.
5. Remove beef from sauce.
6. Spoon off fat from sauce before serving.
7. Enjoy with potatoes or noodles.
