Yummy freshly made banana nut bread. It tastes delicious!
Ingredients:
2 cups whole wheat flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon baking soda
3 ripe bananas
1/2 stick butter
3/4 cup honey
2 eggs
2 tablespoons orange juice
3/4 cup chopped walnuts
Directions:
1. Butter and flour loaf pan.
2. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda and set aside.
3. In small mixing bowl, mash bananas and set aside.
4. In mixing bowl, cream butter and honey.
5. Add eggs, then freshly squeezed orange juice.
6. Stir in bananas.
7. Combine this with flour mixture and stir well by hand.
8. Stir in nuts.
9. Pour batter into loaf pan.
10. Bake for 60 minutes at 325 degrees.
