Meatloaf and Stuffed Peppers

My mom's recipe... a family favorite.
Ingredients:
2 lbs ground beef
1 cup oatmeal
2 teaspoons salt
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 cup ketchup
1 cup milk
1 cup cheddar cheese, cubed
6 green peppers, halved
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F
2. Arrange peppers on a baking sheet.
3. Combine remaining ingredients in a bowl.
4. Stuff peppers with meatloaf mixture. Put remaining meatloaf mixture in loaf pans, or a 9x13 baking dish.
5. Bake peppers for 45 minutes, until meat is no longer pink. Bake meatloaf in pan for 1 hour, until meat is no longer pink.
6. Let each stand 10-15 minutes before serving.
