I have made this meat loaf for years and company just loves it, especially the topping. It's simple to make and goes great with mashed potatoes and gravy!
Ingredients:
2 eggs
3/4 cup milk
1/2 cup fine dry breadcrumb
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
2 tablespoons parsley
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground sage
1 1/2 lbs ground beef
1/4 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon dry mustard
Directions:
1. Combine eggs and milk; stir in crumbs, onion, parsley, salt, sage and 1/8 teaspoon pepper. Add beef; mix well. Mold in a glass baking dish. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 50 minutes.
2. Combine ketchup, sugar and mustard and spread over meat loaf when it is done and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
