Meat & Green Bean Casserole

Similar to the Potato Puff Casserole my mom makes, but this is made with homemade mashed potatoes and has a tomato soup base. From a friend (she made it for us after I came home with child #3). So comforting!
Ingredients:
1 medium onion, chopped
1 lb ground beef
salt & pepper
2 1/2 cups frozen green beans, defrosted and drained
1 (15 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
5 medium potatoes, chopped
1/2 cup warm milk
1 egg, beaten
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F
2. In large skillet, saute onions in a little oil.
3. Add ground beef and salt and pepper to taste and brown the beef.
4. Add drained beans and tomato soup.
5. Pour into 9x13 baking dish.
6. While beef is browning, boil and mash the potatoes with milk, egg, salt & pepper.
7. Make small piles on top of meat mixture.
8. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes.
