A very fresh tasting smoothie that is very high in beta carotene, vitamins C, B9, and TONS of vitamin A! Gotta love that! The flavor is reminiscent of carrot cake (if you close your eyes and pretend really hard, reminding yourself how much BETTER it is for you).
Ingredients:
1 cup spinach leaves
1 apple
2 large carrots
1/2 banana
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/3 cup raisins
1/2 cup plain fat-free yogurt
1 pinch sea salt
1 cup water
2 cups ice cubes
Directions:
1. Chop everything into manageable pieces.
2. Put into high quality blender, like Blendtec or Vitamix.
3. Blend until smooth.
4. Serve immediately or freeze half for later.
