I love this recipe because it has such a wide variety of vitamins, minerals and trace minerals along with a good supply of protein and essential fatty acids. That is why I consider it a good meal replacement smoothie. I use Action Whey for whey protein since it contains the highest level of immune factors and is a pure protein source. You can get Emerald Sea tablets here as well.
Ingredients:
1/2 banana
1/2 avocado
1/4 cup nuts or 1/4 cup nut butter
1 cup spinach or 1 cup kale or 1 cup swiss chard
1 cup milk or 1 cup non-dairy milk substitute
1 scoop whey protein
1/2 cup carrot
1/2 teaspoon sea vegetables (2 emerald sea tablets)
1/4 teaspoon cacao
Directions:
1. Blend all ingredients except whey protein on high speed. Add whey protein and blend at low setting. Add ice if you want it chilled or put in freezer for 15 minutes. Enjoy!
