These are my version of the CinnaMelt's I saw a coworker bring in a couple weeks ago. I saw it(didn't taste it ) and thought.. I can do better than that! ;) Holy Heaven, these were rich. And sweet. Read more . And devoured. These are not for the dieting, but they are so easy, they are dangerous.
Ingredients:
2 loaves frozen bread dough, or 2lb loaves worth of homemade, thawed but still cool. do not let rise.
1 heaping or packed cup brown sugar
1/2t freshly grated nutmeg
1 1/2-2 tablespoons cinnamon
1 cup butter
dash of salt(unless you use salted butter, then just omit this)
for icing
1/2 stick butter, softened
1 block cream cheese, softened
2-2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1t vanilla
about 2t milk
Directions:
1. Melt butter in microwave safe dish.
2. Add cinnamon, nutmeg and brown sugar and stir to combine. See Photo
3. Break apart 1 loaf of the bread dough into about 1/2 inch sized roundish bits into bottom of sprayed or greased jumbo muffin tins or individual ramekins. See Photo
4. Spoon 2-3t of butter/cinnamon mix over each first layer of dough. See Photo
5. Top with another layer of dough bits and then spoon on remaining cinnamon mixture. See Photo
6. Cover loosely and set aside to rise for about 30 minutes.
7. Bake at 350 for about 30 minutes until bread is golden brown, cinnamon sugar mixture is bubbly and all are cooked through. See Photo
8. For Icing
9. Combine all ingredients other than milk in electric or stand mixer and beat well. Add milk a lil at a time to get a drizzleable consistency. :)
10. Sinn-A-Melts were easily removed from my pans, which I was unsure about, so I drizzled the icing over them after I plated them, but while they were still warm.
