A delicious and nutritious smoothie when you don't have time to sit down to a good breakfast. I must admit it almost looks like a chocolate shake, but don't let that fool you! Pure Matcha Green Tea powder can be found at your Japanese grocer, or ordered on-line. If you are not familiar with Matcha Green Tea, here is a rather lengthy description.
Ingredients:
1 cup skim milk
1 1/2 teaspoons matcha green tea powder
1 teaspoon wheat germ
1 large banana, peeled
5 -6 large strawberries (fresh or frozen)
1 teaspoon honey (to taste)
5 ice cubes
Directions:
1. Whirl all ingredients in a blender until smooth.
