A very simple mashed potato recipe. goes well with roasted/fried chicken.
Ingredients:
4-5 large russet potatoes
200 ml evaporated milk
50 g butter
salt and pepper
parsely (dried or fresh, minced, optional)
*the measurements are a little off. i'm not used to using measuring devices.
Directions:
1. Peel and cube potatoes.
2. boil potatoes for 20 mins or until soft and tender.
3. put boiled potatoes in a mixing bowl and mash with a potato masher or a fork until all the lumps are gone.
4. add the butter and mix thoroughly
5. add the milk and mix thoroughly. (Add or lessen milk to achieve preferred consitency)
6. add salt and pepper to taste.
7. put in a serving bowl and sprinkle with parsely on top.
