This was the standard recipe on the Knorr box. I just adjusted the ingredients to my taste. Everyone loves it.
Ingredients:
16 ounces sour cream
8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
1 (3 ounce) package knorr vegetable soup mix
1 (5 ounce) can water chestnuts, chopped fine
1 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained very well (square box)
1 bunch green onion, chopped
garlic powder, to taste (optional)
cajun seasoning, to taste (optional)
Directions:
1. Mix together all ingredients. Let set overnight or at least 4 hours.
2. Can be served in hollowed out loaf of bread or head of cabbage.
3. Serve with crackers and/or carrots and celery.
4. * Note: I showed 4 hours of cooking time since that is how long it should sit before you serve. Also, 30 minute prep time does not include how long the spinach takes to thaw. I usually let it thaw overnight.
