Marmie's Version of Halibut Florentine

I was enthralled by Pvt Amys Mom's recipe of Halibut Florentine, but was lacking so many ingredients... so working on that I ended up with this! Thank you pvt. Amys mom...I cant wait to make your recipe. My Hubby adores this and thinks it is absolutely company worthy!!! LOVE IT! and I usually do not love my own cooking...my own worse critic and all...
Ingredients:
2 halibut fillets (3/4 in thick)
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour
3/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt, kosher
3 tablespoons parmesan cheese
6 cups swiss chard, with stems seperate and cut in 1 inch pieces...leaves chopped coarsley
4 garlic cloves, chopped coarsley
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup cheese
Directions:
1. In large frying pan, melt 2 tablespoons butter and saute 4 crushed cloves garlic 4 minute
2. Add chard stems and cook 7 minutes untill a little tender.
3. Add chopped Chard leaves and simmer 5 - 8 min untill leaves are wilted, not cooked.
4. Remove from pan and set aside.
5. In same pan, melt 2 Tablespoons butter,
6. add 2 tbsp flour and mix till smooth.
7. Add 3/4 cup milk slowly and simmer to make rue.
8. Add 3 Tablespoons Parmesan to milk, stir.
9. Add 1/2 cup tex mex cheese and blend gently.
10. Place Chard in bottom of casserole dish.
11. Place Halibut on top of Chard.
12. Pour White sauce over halibut.
13. Bake 350 degrees F for 20 min.
14. Remove and sprinkle 1/2 cup tex mix over top.
15. Broil another 7 min or so untill nicely golden.
