Marinated Vegetable Salad

Easy to make flavorful vegetable salad. Keeps several days in refrigerator. Great for pot lucks.
Ingredients:
1 can french style green beans
1 can petite green peas
1 can sliced or diced carrots
1 can white shoepeg corn
1 can sliced water chestnuts
1 cup sliced celery
1 cup chopped onion
1 med. jar diced pimiento
1 sm. diced bell pepper
marinade
1 cup salad oil
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. white vinegar
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. black pepper
Directions:
1. Drain all canned vegetables well. Mix all vegetables together.
2. Bring to a boil all marinade ingredients.
3. Let cool thoroughly.
4. Pour marinade over vegetables, mixing well.
5. Cover and chill well before serving.
6. Even better the second or third day!
