MARINATED TOMATOES This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Patrick Estate in Canton, Texas in 1981.
Ingredients:
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup canola oil
3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 tablespoon sweetener
2 cloves garlic minced
2 teaspoons basil chopped
1/8 teaspoon thyme
4 medium tomatoes sliced thin
Directions:
1. Whisk together all ingredients except tomatoes in a small bowl.
2. Place the tomatoes in a container then pour marinade over.
3. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving.
