  2. Stir until sugar dissolves,but stir gently as not to break up fruit.
  3. Cover and chill overnight to allow flavors to blend.
  4. Store in an airtight container in refrigerator.
  5. Serve over ice cream or shortcake
  6. Make about 3 cups
