Simple marinade and slow cooking make this both easy and tasty. Great for sandwiches and make-ahead meals.
Ingredients:
4-5 lbs beef brisket
1 can campbells beef consomme
3/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup lemon juice
2 tsp minced garlic
1 tbs liquid smoke
1/2 cup bbq sauce (your favorite brand)
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients with beef and marinate overnight in large ziploc bag in the refrigerator.
2. Preheat oven to 300.
3. Using a covered roasting pan, cook in preheated oven about one hour per pound. (with all the stuff from the bag)
4. Check occasionally, Do not overcook.
5. Cool and slice thin against the grain.
