Mama Wang's Spinach Squares

From Best of the Best from Michigan Cookbook which I received in the Bi-Annual Cookbook Swap.
Ingredients:
4 tablespoons butter, melted
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 egg
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 medium onion, grated
1/2 lb cheddar cheese, grated
1/2 lb monterey jack cheese, grated
2 (10 ounce) packages frozen chopped spinach, thawed, drained
Directions:
1. Pour melted butter in bottom of 9x9-inch baking pan.
2. Mix flour, egg, milk, salt, and baking powder; add remaining ingredients.
3. Pour mixture into baking ban on top of butter and bake at 350° for 35 minutes; cool, cut, and serve.
