Here's a tasty sauce to use for leftover meats that will help bring back some of the moisture. You could also spread it on a flatbread crust and eat like a pizza.
Ingredients:
1 small apple (skinned, cored, and cut into slivers)
2 tablespoons butter
salt (sprinkle)
pepper (sprinkle)
thyme (crushed, small sprinkle)
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons dijon mustard
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
Directions:
1. Cut meat into bite pieces.
2. Melt butter and saute apples until softened.
3. Mix salt, pepper, thyme, mustard, and balsamic vinegar.
4. Pour over apples and stir.
5. Add meat and stir.
