Madagascar Manioc Soup (Cassava)

I found this after a trip to Madagascar. I had to translate it from French.
Ingredients:
1 tomato, chopped
1 3/4 ounces meat
1 lb cassava, cubed (manioc)
2 cups water (little more if you need it)
1 pinch salt
Directions:
1. Place all in a pot. Cook til soft. Mash.
