Macaroni Salad

Great for potlucks. Everyone asks for the recipe.
Ingredients:
1 lb macaroni
1 large green pepper, chopped
4 shredded carrots
1 chopped onion (optional)
2 thinly sliced cucumbers
tomatoes (optional)
cubes of cheese (cheddar)
1/2 can eagle brand condensed milk
1/2 cup vinegar
3/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
Directions:
1. Cook macaroni; drain and cool; add a little western dressing to macaroni as it cools.
2. Add vegetables and mix well.
3. Combine milk, vinegar, sugar, mayo, salt and pepper. Add to macaroni mixture.
4. Mix thoroughly and chill at least 4 hours before serving – overnight is better.
