Lynn's Peanut Butter Oatmeal Protein Balls or Bars 2

Healthy high protein snack. Consistency of a soft caramel. Delicious!
Ingredients:
1 cup peanut butter, reduced fat
3/4 cup applesauce, no sugar added
1 tbsp. applesauce, no sugar added
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) margarine
1 cup oatmeal
1 1/2 cups dry nonfat instant milk
6 scoops (2 cups) gnc pro performance 100% whey protein (flavor of your choice)
Directions:
1. Microwave the peanut butter and margarine about 30-40 seconds. It melts it and makes mixing in the other ingredients much easier.
2. Add the applesauce and mix well.
3. Add oatmeal, protein powder, and instant milk. Mix well. (It gets thick, so you'll have to use a sturdy spoon or your hands to mix it.)
4. Roll into walnut sized balls, or press into loaf pan sprayed with Pam. Chill, then cut into 16 bars and store in plastic bag in refrigerator or freezer.
