Luscious white glaze for cakes, cinnamon buns, Bundt cakes, pastries and breakfast rolls. Easy to modify to compliment the other flavors of your baked goods. EASY to prepare!
Ingredients:
2 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup whipping cream (approximate you may use slightly more or less)
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract or almond extract
or substitute about 1/2 teaspoon of the vanilla or almond with lemon, orange, lime, grand marnier, you get the idea... to compliment the flavors in what you've made
Directions:
1. In a small bowl whisk in the extract and half of the whipping cream, then slowly add, I add tablespoon by tablespoon, additional whipping cream to get the consistency you want.
2. If the glaze gets too runny, just whisk in additional powdered sugar.
3. How easy is that?
4. If you aren't going to use it immediately, put plastic wrap over the bowl. Be sure it is touching the top of the glaze or it will harden.
5. You can also refrigerate and use later. Just bring to room temperature to use.
6. Since this has dairy in it, you must refrigerate it if you are going to let it sit for any length of time.
