Directions:

  1. Rinse tuna in colander with water and drain well, shaking out excess water. Place in a bowl, mix with 2 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon mayonnaise, and set aside. Chop 2 eggs and add to tuna. Discard the yolks of the remaining eggs and add to tuna with celery, relish, sugar, and pepper. Blend well, and chill until ready to serve. At serving time, use remaining mayonnaise on top of each slice of toast. Place 1 leaf of lettuce on each bread slice with a slice of tomato. Divide the tuna salad into 4ths and place on each sandwhich. Cut each sandwich into 4ths, secure with toothpicks and serve immediately.
