Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. In a large stew pot add water, broth, and seasonings( not the salt sub. yet) set burner to medium and bring to a rolling boil.
  2. Then add veggies and brown rice and bring burner to low and simmer for 45min.
  3. In the meantime begin to brown sausage and cook the sausages until completly done. Once sausages are done cut them into rounds and add to soup.
  4. If soup is too thin add about 2 tablespoons of flour ( I recommend whole wheat flour) if soup is too thick add a little more water and a pinch of the salt substitute stir and let simmer for an additional 10 minute.
  5. Serve with cornbread or crackers for a warm and filling meal.
