Low Fat Yummy Wheat Germ Peanut Butter Cookies

Ingredients:
1/2 cup ( 1 stick ) unsalted butter, room temperature
1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter - yum
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup wheat germ
3/4 cup quick-cooking oats
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon - (my added ingredient)
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
2. In mixing bowl, cream the butter, peanut butter and brown sugar until light & fluffy.
3. Beat in egg and vanilla.
4. In a small bowl, combine the flour, wheat germ,oats, baking soda and salt.
5. Stir the dry ingredients into the butter mixture.
6. Shape dough into 1-inch balls and place on ungreased baking sheet.
7. Use the bottom of a drinking glass in water to flatten the cookies.
8. Bake 8 - 10 minutes until lightly browned
9. Cool a few minutes on the sheet, then transfer with spatula to a wire rack and cool completely
