Low Fat Whole Wheat Banana Nut Chocolate Chip Cookies

Low in Fat, High in Flavor! Makes 13 Large cookies.
Ingredients:
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce
3/4 cup chocolate chips
3/4 cup chopped walnuts (or any other nut)
1 large ripe mashed banana
Directions:
1. Beat Sugar and applesauce.
2. Add in egg and vanilla.
3. Slowly add mashed bananas with the dry ingredients, beating each addition well.
4. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts and drop dough onto a greased cookie sheet in rounded tablespoons.
5. Bake at 375 degrees for 14-15 minutes.
