Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350º.
  2. Lightly spray 2 9x5-inch loaf pans with non-stick cooking spray.
  3. Beat sugar, oil, and applesauce in large bowl to blend.
  4. Mix in egg whites and pumpkin.
  5. Sift flour, cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda, salt, and baking powder into another large bowl.
  6. Stir into pumpkin mixture in 2 additions.
  7. Bake until tester inserted into center comes out clean, about 1 hour 10 minutes.
  8. Transfer to racks and cool 10 minutes.
  9. Using sharp knife, cut around edge of loaves.
  10. Turn loaves out onto rack and cool completely
