Low-Fat Moist and Chewy Brownies

This is a recipe I stumbled upon and thought it would be a great fix for any person with a sweet tooth who is watching their weight!
Ingredients:
1/4 cup unbleached flour, plus
1 tablespoon unbleached flour
1/4 cup oat bran
1/3 cup cocoa powder
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup instant nonfat dry milk powder
1 pinch baking soda
1/4 cup chocolate syrup
3 egg whites
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Directions:
1. Combine the flour, oat bran, cocoa, sugar, milk powder, and baking soda in a large bowl, and stir to mix well.
2. Stir in the chocolate syrup, egg whites, and vanilla extract,.
3. Fold in the nuts if desired.
4. Coat an 8-inch square pan with nonstick cooking spray. Spread the batter evenly in the pan, and bake at 325 degrees fahrenheit for 23 minutes, or just until the edges are firm and the center is almost set.
5. Cool to room temperature, cut into squares, and serve.
