Low Fat Banana or Strawberry Chocolate Parfaits

I *strongly* recommend cook & serve pudding-not as convenient as instant, but it tastes a thousand times more like real pudding, giving real creamy, chocolate flavor to this low-fat treat.
Ingredients:
2 cups nonfat milk, cold
1 (3 1/2 ounce) package jello reduced calorie fat-free sugar-free instant chocolate pudding mix
2 medium bananas or 8 large strawberries, sliced
3/4 cup cool whip free, thawed & divided
Directions:
1. Set aside 4 single strawberry or banana slices for garnish.
2. In medium saucepan, whisk together milk & pudding mix. Cook according to package directions, whisking contantly until thickened. Evenly spoon half the pudding mix into 4 dessert glasses.
3. On top of pudding, layer banana or strawberry slics. Follow with layer of Cool Whip Free & remaining pudding.
4. Place dallop of cool whip on top of each parfait & garnish with strawberry or banana slice.
5. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
