Sometimes I use the cinnamon, other times I don't. It tastes good even if you aren't a 'low carber'. The picture was taken using 2 lbs of beef stewing meat. Thanks for the comments to use 2 lbs, it's much better.
Ingredients:
1 quart water
2 lbs ground beef
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon cumin
1 onion, chopped
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
2 cloves garlic, mashed
2 teaspoons salt
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon red pepper
1/2 teaspoon allspice
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
3 bay leaves
1 (4 ounce) can mushrooms (drained)
3/4 cup chopped green pepper
Directions:
1. Brown meat, drain off fat.
2. Add remaining ingredients, bring to a boil, then simmer 3 hours.
3. Approx.
4. 7- 9 carbs per serving.
