I got this recipe from my fitness trainer. She makes everything she eats from healthy ingredients. This is a must, it picks up your energy, is tasty and is good for breakfast, brunch or as a snack. I love this stuff and have even eaten it over ice cream and over smoothies. Read more . Enjoy
Ingredients:
3 cups quick cooking oats
1/3 cup wheat germ
1/3 cup sunflower seeds
1/3 cup sesame seeds
1/3 cup slivered almonds
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/3 cup canola oil
1/4 cup honey
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup craisins
Directions:
1. Place oats, wheat germ, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds and almonds in ungreased bowl.
2. Heat in microwave on full power for 2 minutes.
3. Add brown sugar and cinnamon to mixture then stir to blend.
4. Add oil, honey and vanilla to dry ingredients and toss lightly until coated.
5. Cook in microwave on level 7 for 6 minutes.
6. Stir twice during cooking.
7. Add cranberries then cook in microwave on full power for 2 minutes.
8. Press granola onto baking sheet then cool completely.
9. Break into pieces and store in tightly covered container or in the refrigerator.
