NIce and tasteful spread.
Ingredients:
1 lb liver (veal or pork)
2 onions, large thinly sliced
1 egg
1/2 c chicken stock
1/3 c butter (not margarine)
1 t salt
1/4 t black pepper
2 bread slices without crust
Directions:
1. Slice liver into thin strips and cook for 10 minutes.
2. Remove liver form heat.
3. Melt the butter in a pan.
4. Add the onions and fry until they are golden.
5. Add the liver and continue frying for 1 - 2 minunes constantly stirring.
6. Remove mixture form heat.
7. Put all of the remaining ingredients (egg, chicken stock, salt, black pepper and bread slices without crust) with the onions and liver in a food processor.
8. Chop in processor until a smooth mixture is achieved.
9. Next steps are not mandatory:
10. Grease a 9″ baking dish and spoon the mixture into it.
11. Bake for 45 minutes in a pre-hetaed 450 degree F oven.
12. Remove from oven and cool to room temperature.
