Linguini and Clams

This is an easy delicious pasta dish. Elegant enough to impress guests and fast enough to make on a week night where you have no time.
Ingredients:
1 cup baby clams (i use canned clams that are precooked)
1/4 cup half-and-half
1/4 cup white wine
2 tablespoons garlic (minced, about 8 cloves)
3 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons fresh basil (chopped)
2 cups linguine (cooked)
parmesan cheese, for topping
1 teaspoon parsley (chopped, for garnish)
Directions:
1. Heat a saute pan on medium high heat. Add in garlic, butter, wine, and half and half. Cook for 10 minutes or until reduced by half. Add in the fresh basil and the clams. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
2. Portion a half cup of linguini on each plate, top each plate with equal portions of the clam sauce.
3. Garnish with parmesean cheese and chopped fresh parsley and enjoy.
