I have been making my beans this way for years... They are quick and easy to throw together when you are trying to get a meal on the table. Great flavor, and good with hotdogs and brown bread!
Ingredients:
1 (28 ounce) can bush beans
1 cup brown sugar
1/3-1/2 cup onion, diced
2 tablespoons maple syrup
2 tablespoons yellow mustard
4 slices bacon, cooked, and crumbled
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients in a baking dish.
2. Bake at 350, for 1 hr., or until thickened.
3. Remove, and let set about 15 minutes.
4. They will continue to thicken so do not over bake.
