4 sticks margarine or butter
2 1/2 cups self rising flour
Directions:
1. Melt margarine or butter In a large sauce pan over medium heat
2. Add flour while continuing to stir. Stir until mixture is a smooth paste
3. The roux will be yellow as it takes on the color of margarine
