I had this slaw MANY years ago when I lived in NC. I was reminded of it last night when I watched a special on BBQ. I'll be making this recipe for Labor Day to go with some ribs!
Ingredients:
1 head of cabbage shredded (i will get the sack of pre-shredded slaw mix)
1 cup of mayo
3 tbs tomato-based bbq sauce (your favorite)
2 tbs sugar
1 tbs ketchup
1 tbs cider vinegar
salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
1. Mix everything well except the cabbage;
2. Pour the dressing mixture over shredded cabbage;
3. Chill for one hour before serving.
