Less-Cook Pound Cake With Lemon Glaze |

An old favorite from Candy's childhood. The lemon glaze is so easy it seems doesn't seem fair! Ingredients:
3 cups plain flour |
3 cups sugar |
1/2 cup shortening |
1 cup margarine |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1 teaspoon lemon extract |
1 cup milk |
5 eggs |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 cup powdered sugar |
4 tablespoons lemon juice |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325~. 2. Mix all cake ingredients with mixer, blend well. 3. Pour into greased/floured tube or bundt pan. 4. Bake for 70 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. 5. Mix glaze ingredients (you may have to adjust) and pour over cake. |
