Scones made a bit differently by using sour cream.
Ingredients:
2 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup raisins (or 1 cup of parmesan and a handful of chives, or 1 cup of nuts... you get the idea)
1/2 cup vegetable oil
250 g sour cream (whole or fat-free, but guess which one works best!!!)
1 egg
Directions:
1. Mix these wet ingredients together and then incorporate the dry.
2. I use a round cake pan, but you could make them traditionally by the drop method, just check for golden-brownness before removing from a 375 degree oven. If using a cake pan, check after 20-25 minutes.
