Lentil Casserole

I like making this as a side dish with cheeseburgers. This would also make a great one dish meal.
Ingredients:
3/4 cup lentils
1/2 cup rice (i use brown rice)
1/2 teaspoon basil
1/4 teaspoon rosemary
1/4 teaspoon oregano
3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
3 cups chicken broth
1 cup cheddar cheese (optional)
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients except cheese in casserole dish.
2. Cover and bake at 300 for 1hr. 45 minutes to 2 hours.
3. My children will not eat this without cheese, so I top half with cheddar cheese and put back in the oven for five minutes to melt cheese.
