Lemony Shrimp With Capers and Pasta

I made up this recipe because I love Shrimp Scampi, but hate all the calories. My husband and kids love, love, love this pasta, especially when we serve it over homemade pasta.
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
24 -30 medium raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
3 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 small onion, diced small
1 (4 ounce) jar capers
1 lemon, juiced
2 tablespoons fresh basil, sliced thin
1 tablespoon lemon zest
1 cup white wine
1 teaspoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons water
4 scallions, sliced thin
3 tablespoons parmesan cheese, grated
1 lb fettuccine pasta, cooked
Directions:
1. cook onion and garlic till the onion is translucent in olive oil.
2. Add shrimp, lemon juice, butter, capers, white wine and lemon zest to pan.
3. Cook until shrimp is pink.
4. Mix cornstarch and water then add to pan to thicken sauce.
5. Stir till sauce is desired consistency.
6. Spoon over fresh, hot fettuccini.
7. Top with scallions and parmesan cheese.
