Lemon Tea Cake

This is my Mama's recipe, sweet, lemony and delicious!
Ingredients:
cake
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/3 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
grated rind of 1 lemon.
glaze
1/2 cup sifted powdered sugar
juice of 1 lemon
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Grease and flour a 9- x 5- x 3-inch loaf pan.
3. Combine butter and sugar, creaming until light and fluffy.
4. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
5. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, mixing well after each addition.
6. Stir in walnuts and lemon rind.
7. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and bake for 55 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
8. Pour glaze over bread.
9. Cool 10 to 15 minutes before removing from pan.
10. Yield: 1 loaf.
11. To make Glaze~
12. Combine sugar and lemon juice, mixing well.
13. Yield: About 1/2 cup.
